Christmas 2009

We love going to see Santa every Christmas Eve! It's hard to get a good picture of everyone for sure, but it's more about the memory for us. :-)

The boys also visited Santa at a Christmas party...that Santa guy sure is busy! :-)

Christmas this year was very special and although I didn't get very many pictures, we got some great video and more than that, some great memories. It was a very low key Christmas for me and I LOVED that, I felt like I got to really focus on my family and doing all the little special things this time of year that mean so much.

Christmas Eve we did all of our little traditions. We always spend Christmas Eve as a family, just us together at home and it's always very special. We go see Santa, then make a big dinner together, open one gift (new jammies), and then we put our new jammies on and load up in the car, we turn on Christmas music and head out to a favorite neighborhood of our ours to go see Christmas lights, and then return home for dessert and then off to bed! If it's not too late we like to watch a Christmas movie, but this year we got home really late. We all love this tradition. We really wanted to go to the Christmas Eve candleight service, we had planned on it, but we just didn't have enough time this year as waiting for Santa took much longer than expected. Next year we will factor that in for sure.

Christmas Day we woke up early and my mom came over and we did stockings and presents and then John made a HUGE breakfast. Then we all loaded up in the car(including my mom) and went and got Taylor and Storm (bearing gifts of course!) and then all of us went to Bellingham to see John's family! We had a GREAT time at John's brother's house, there was LOTS of food and lots of gifts and it was just a very special time with John's family. That night we stayed at our favorite hotel in Bellingham. It has an indoor pool that the boys LOVE. We had 2 adjoining rooms for all 8 of us and it was a BLAST! The next day we had a great breakfast at the hotels restaurant and the boys played in the pool for awhile and then we met back up with John's family one last time for lunch. It was really really fun! Here are some of the few pictures I actually took........

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I hope despite all the busyness of the season you were each able to find moments of "peace on earth and goodwill towards men" :-).
We had such a wonderful Christmas, it was a great end to a rather tough year and we are very ready to say "Goodbye 2009 and Hello 2010!!!!"
Many blessings on you and yours!
Love,

Hi Jessica What a fun and brave tradition to go to the mall on Christmas Eve! :) Your family looks great!

I was hoping to ask you a question about a link that you used to have on your blog. She seemed to be a woman who made her own remedy for psoriasis, something like mama's love?? If you still have her connect information would you mind passing it along to me at aprilmallery@comcast.net?

Have a great day and fantastic new year! April Mallery
