9 years.......
It was 9 years ago this week that John and I met! Wow! He and I have been talking the last couple days about how we met, and how amazing this whole journey has been together. I never would have thought that 9 years later we could still be SO in love, and it totally excites me for the future. I just want to encourage any newlyweds or people about to get married...that it really can get even better with time! :) I remember wondering on our wedding day how I could love him any more then I did at that moment, and wondered if it would all just be downhill from there :)...but the answer is NO!!! It truly gets even better, with work and commitment. It's really possible. I am not just talking about how you settle in to each other and get so comfortable together...but we still get giddy to see each other....he still gives me butterflies..after 9 years! I love when one of us walks in to a room and totally catches the other's eye. It is still SO much fun to be together. Don't get me wrong, we argue, we drive each other crazy sometimes...but at the core of it all is a passion and a fire that cannot be quenched and it's awesome. So, if you're worried that marriage might be boring....trust us...it's not! After 9 years, it's as exciting as ever! It is not a fairytale, it can be hard work at times....but it is more then worth it. If you are reading this and you haven't found "the one" yet...don't settle...wait....it will be so worth it and you'll know when it is "the one".

Hey sweetie, that was a great post and I totally agree with you. I absolutely love how you and I connect, especially in so many ways. You are a wonderful wife, a terrific friend, a beautiful woman, and an awesome companion. Spending time with you is what I love most. Just being around you makes my day better, period! This has been an amazing 9 years since we met and looking back along the way I am so thankful that I have had you to share it with. It has been a wonderful journey and I know it is only getting better and better. And thanks for making me look good too! =) I know you already know this but I'll share it with everyone else.... One of my life quotes is "You can tell the measure of a man by the countenance on his wife's face." And watching you lately makes me think that I must be doing something right, but really you make it easy. You rock! I love you sweetie.
you guys are so cute! Congrats on all that time together and hope you have many many more years of that. :) My parents have been married 35 years and still get butterflys too. :)
