In response to my last post........

Thanks everyone for your very nice comments :).
Emily, I wonder that too sometimes.
However, I don't ever want to promote my past as like "This is the way to REALLY fall in love with Jesus and know the true power of His mercy and grace..do what I did" I don't ever want it to seem like I wear my past as some sort of badge of honor.
It was a LONG, HARD road back. I don't recommend it! :)
Of coarse the ultimate goal is to walk with Him and stay the coarse all the days of one's life.
But, God knew what I was gonna do and go through LONG before any one else did and so He already had a plan in place. A plan of redemption, a plan of restoration, and He also planned to use everything I went though and lived.. for His glory in the end. He knew I was His.
That is the awesome part.
He had it all mapped out long before I ever knew I would need it.
So, of coarse I believe people can be just as deeply in love with the Lord and know the power of His grace without having to have a "story" or a "past". But, He surely has used everything I went through to deepen me and to grow me and to establish me.
I think before I went through all that I did years ago, I loved the Lord and His presence and had experienced His power but didn't walk with Him one on one intimately, personally. I prayed everyday and all that, but I was still finding my needs met through others, and a lot of my experience with the Lord was also through others. So, He used me hitting rock bottom and being incredibly alone to begin a very personal relationship with Him. So, I am thankful for the gifts I have been given through the dark seasons of my life.
:)

GREAT post, Jess. I never cease to be amazed at God's amazing goodness. Your testimony brings glory to Him, and we can praise Him because of the vessel He's made you to be.

Grateful for grace,
Karen

Jess I don't really know your story from then because I remember you in highschool and your middle name just fits you to a T! Then there was the 12 year gap until I met up iwth you last year. :) But I will say that you are one of the luckiest and happiest people I know so obviously God had a plan for you and it is wonderful you found it. You also helped me find and reconnect with God in a way he had called me too. :) Remember I only really came to church that day to hear you sing again and becuase I was slightly curious and now I am a member and teaching sunday school once a month lol :) your a wonderful person and whatever it is you overcame that is great. It is obvious you paid your dues and learned your lessons. Now it is time for you to reap the rewards.

Jess, Hello! Its been awhile since I have commented but I am a regular reader! I too have been inspired by you and we have never met and live on opposite ends of the country, God is so awesome! I have been convicted lately to write out my testimony as God is really refining me lately in a few areas and it hasnt been easy, I have had to be extremely honest with myself about myself and Im not liking all I am learning.Even though it has been rough and I have lost some close friends in the process it feels really good because I am so excited about what outcome God has in store for me and my family! Does any of this make sense?? On a lighter note(not as lite as I wish, not yet anyway:0) I am starting back on the SB diet tomorrow, I posted some really awlful before photos on my blog and plan on journaling there. So if your into awlful stop by and check it out;0)
Peace~Love~Prayers

Ok...this is a side note!

I have been without tv all week, so I am just catching up on all the TV info! Are you totally disappointed that Sanjaya made it into the top 10? I am, because he now gets to tour with them, and I think there were others better!

I'll be watching this Tuesday!
