My story.....
I read this Psalms the other day and I was wondering if I wrote it or if David really did? :) I think David must know my story! :) For those of you who do know my story, I think you will find this Psalm to be so true of my life. It is truly as though David penned the very words of my heart to God.........
I love God because He listened to me,
listened as I begged for mercy.
He listened so intently as I laid out my case before Him.
Death stared me in the face, hell was hard on my heels. Up against it, I didn't know which way to turn. Then I called out to God for help, "Please God!" I cried out. "Save my life!"
God is gracious- it is He who makes things right,
our most compassionate God.
God takes the side of the helpless.
When I was at the end of my rope, He saved me.
Then I said to myself, "Relax and rest. God has showered you with blessings.
Soul, you've been rescued from death
Eye, you've been rescued from tears
And you, Foot, were kept from stumbling."
I'm now striding in the presence of God,
alive in the land of the living! (WOOHOO!) :)
What can I give back to God for the blessings He's poured out on me?
I'll lift high the cup of salvation- a toast to God!
I'll pray in the name of God,I'll complete what I promised God I'd do,
and I'll do it together with His people.
When they arrive at the gates of death, God welcomes those who love Him.
Oh God, here I am, your servant,
your faithful servant, set me free for your service!
I'm ready to offer the thanksgiving sacrifice and pray in the name of God.
I'll complete what I promised God I'd do,
and I'll do it in the company of His people.
In the place of worship, in God's house.
Hallelujah!
-Psalms 116 (msg)
That is my heart to You God! I can still remember those very dark days so well. I remember the pain and despair, and I vividly remember literally crying out saying "Save my life God, rescue me!". You heard my cry, and here I am!
You have rescued me from the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock. You have picked me up out of the dirt and seated me in a place of honor. Your praise will forever be on my lips. I will worship You forever. How can I not? You are my God. I love You so much it is overwhelming. You have made something out of nothing. You have taken what was broken and useless, and made it beautiful again. I am found in You. Thank you God. Thank You for mercy, thank You for Grace, thank You for restoration. I am Your servant.

Wow! What an awesome post. It reminds me to be so thankful for God's amazing mercy and grace that we all so desperately need.
Jessica,
That is awesome! It brings tears to my eyes and inspiration to my heart. I love the fact that what the devil means for evil, in all of our lives, God will use for good. I know so many people, including me are benefiting from your testimony! And like Lis said, its an awesome reminder that we all desperately need Gods grace and mercy.
