Our Seaside Vacation!!!!

We are back from a WONDERFUL week in Seaside, OR. We took the boys, John's girls, AND my parents! We had a huge 3 story, 4 bedroom, and 3 bath house just steps from the Ocean. It was perfect. We were just a few minutes from town but it was like worlds away on the beach...we pretty much had that section of beach to ourselves...in the middle of July! You could see hundreds of people way down at the other end...yet there we were with our own little spot of paradise! The weather was perfect. We had so much fun. Here are a few pictures for starters...this is all blogger would let me upload for whatever reason...so I'll post more later!
Here we all are (minus Mom and Dad) on a trip into town. Seaside is such a neat little town and there is so much to do!!!

Our 4 kids! This is at the end of the Lewis and Clark trail where they saw the ocean...right in the heart of downtown Seaside.

John and I hanging out with Lewis and Clark.

We did a couple late night bonfires on the beach, those were so fun! Here is John giving a marshmellow roasting lesson to John II.

Taylor and I celebrating our birthdays at the end of a LONG and FUN day!! (I know we look rough...it was late and we had just come from the campfire) :) We could barely even eat this cake after all the smores we had! Yes, I went off my diet! :)

John and Storm. A father/daughter moment at the campfire. It did get a little chilly at night out near the water. Josiah is in the background.

Gathering sticks for the campfire.

MORE PICTURES TO COME!! :)

I love the picture of John and little John II by the fire. His green boots are too cute!

Jess it looks like you guys had a great vacation. It was doubly great to see that John's girls were able to go as well.

And you do know that food eaten on vacation doesn't count towards diet calories!

Marcie, here is the website for the house we rented. It is even WAY better in real life. I would highly recommend it.

Laura, that's funny that you say that because I ment to comment on those pictures and say to ignore some of John II's crazy outfits...we weren't expecting it to be as cold at night as it was the first couple, so I didn't pack a lot of clothes for cold weather. :) We made due with what we had.
Thanks Rachel....but then what's wrong with my scale???!! It must be broke because it's tipping a few pounds over!!! :)
