Back in the saddle again.........

I did it!! After about 3 and a half months of not working out, I went back to the gym today! WOOHOO!
I had just gotten off track with working out...it started with a couple back to back vacations...then I took over the worship ministry...then the holidays hit and before I knew it I was totally out of the routine of going!
I was so nervous about that first day back, I've picked up a couple extra pounds and gotten a little out of shape. :) So, I was happily surprised at how easily it all came back to me! I had also forgot how GREAT you feel after a workout. I was nervous to get back into it cause I thought I am just too busy now with ministry and then with being mommy and wife too...I just didn't think I had the time. But, I forgot that after a workout you feel SO energized and refreshed that you are actually much more productive and have way more energy! So, I am excited to get back in the groove.
One BIG thing that has helped me get back into it is that I have a new workout buddy!!!! Amelia!!! Yeah! I have to thank her... because without her asking me to meet her I probably would have never gone back! :) It helps so much when there is someone counting on you to be there. It also helps your workout go twice as fast when you have someone to chat with. Thank you Amelia!! :) I'm excited!

On another very exciting note....John and I booked a trip to DISNEYLAND last night!!!! I think we are even more excited then the boys!! :) Although it's all Johnny has been talking about. He tells anyone who will listen, "I go see Mickey Mouse!" Whenever a Disneyland commerical comes on he says "I go there!". I LOVE Disneyland so much...but even more then that I love seeing pure joy on my children's faces...I can't wait!!!!
We got a incredible deal that we just couldn't resist...you can still get it right now. Both our boys fly for free, ride the shuttle from the airport for free, and eat for 99 cents at our hotel!! We also got a free night stay at our hotel AND everyone pays the kid price for Disneyland park hopper tickets! So, if you only have 2 kids..it's pretty much like just paying for 2 adults to go and yet you can take your whole family!! We are going in May before it gets too hot and too crowded. :)
I am SOOOOOO excited!

Quick Funny....

I was inspired after reading Andrea's hilarious post, to share my similiar funny story from yesterday.
As most know, the weather got a little wacky yesterday with very sudden and crazy snow and hail. Like Andrea's boys, mine decided to pray for their Dad and his safety as he drives around. So, Josiah prayed quite a long prayer and at the end of his prayer, he paused and said..."If that even made any sense God. Amen".
Too cute. I assured him that God could probably figure it out. :)
Here's a couple recent pictures of Josiah....

Josiah working on a current school project.

My cool kid. :)

:) I have no idea what he is doing...but it's cute.

A couple pics from Johnny's actual birthday....

I'm the BIG 0-3!!!

Johnny and my Mom made this cake together....FROM SCRATCH...it was SOOOO good. Mary, you know!!!! :)
HA! My Mom made a special birthday dinner just for Johnny of his favorite foods! Mashed Potatoes, Cottage Cheese, Olives and Green Beans! :) Too funny!! He had already messed it up a little before we took the picture. Aren't Grammy's the best!!??
Loaded up with loot! :)

These were all his gifts from Grammy....mostly a ton of Spiderman stuff and a new shirt for church (that was my request)...otherwise they just get toys at this age!! :)

Cake Overload!!!! :)

OK...so somehow I have to break it to Johnny that his birthday is over cause he still thinks it's his "Der-day"....no matter how much I tell him his birthday is all done! :)

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY JOHNNY!!!!!!

We celebrated Johnny turning 3 yesterday at The Little Gym! It was SO fun!!! Johnny had his brother and sisters, his two best friends (Hunter and Hope) and ALL their siblings...for a total of 10 kids! It was perfect.
The Little Gym is awesome. You get the whole thing to yourself, so you don't have to worry about anything..and the "hosts" take care of EVERYTHING for you. They even cut and serve the cake for you. Johnny was in heaven...he had so much fun. There is plently of free play and some great organized activities as well.
They treated Johnny so special, that meant a lot to me. It wasn't like there was 15 others kids there who's birthday it was too...ya know? Every parent thinks their child is special, so to have other people treat them that way too...warms a parent's heart like nothing else. :) Here are some more pics of his special day.......

A spiderman cake was his one request...this cake was really cool...but I don't have a better pic of it.

Who's cute kids are these?? :)

More fun pics from his actual birthday coming soon!

Johnny, you mean the world to me. You are such a joy. Seeing you truly enjoy your birthday meant so much to me. I love you my little B.

Update!

All is well and busy here in Cagle land. :)
Let's see....what's new....
Johnny turns 3 on Saturday!!!!! What a joy he is to us. We took him shopping yesterday for a fish tank and some fish for his birthday present. He is SO excited. I can't believe what a big boy he is. I registered him for preschool for next fall...so weird!

Here are a couple funny things about my almost 3 year old.....

- He has started calling his Daddy, "John", off and on. We figure this must be because that is what he hears me call him. :)

- I learned from Johnny that sleeping with cheese is a very bad idea.
The other night he woke up in the middle of the night crying that he was really hungry. It was weird, he has never done that. So, I figured he must truly be really hungry. So, as tired as I was, I tried to just find something easy and quick to give him. I decided a big slice of cheese was a good idea. Wrong. The next morning he woke up and I realized he had maybe taken one bite out of that cheese and then fell back asleep...on the cheese. Well the cheese was now rock hard and that's because the grease was everywhere....all over Johnny's hair, pillowcase and sheet. Lovely.

- I also learned that deodorant does not make a good hair product. The other day we were getting ready to go somewhere and I had told Johnny we were about to leave. Well, apparently he decided that his hair-do needed a touch up. So, he found his brothers deodorant in the bathroom and proceeded to roll it all over the top of his hair. Another bad idea. His hair was so matted together it took SEVERAL washings to get it all out. :)

So, there you go...lessons learned from an almost 3 year old:

- Call your Dad by his first name if your really want to get his attention :)
- Don't sleep with cheese
- And please, don't put deodorant in your hair

Happy almost birthday my sweet sweet baby. I ADORE you!

Here he is with one of his best buddies, Hunter, who was born just 3 days after Johnny! :)
