After much encouragement (Sabrina do you work for blogger?? Are you getting a commission? Just kidding :o)!!) I have given into the growing trend and here is my attempt to set up our blog! Yippee! I have NO idea what I am doing, but I'm sure I'll figure this out as I go along.
OK, so to update you on our lives. John and I have been married 6 years this October, and we are still crazy in love! It's better than I thought it could be, don't get me wrong...it's work, but SO well worth it. We still adore each other, and even still get all excited to see each other. It's an adventure, being married and raising a family together and I LOVE IT! I did say it takes work though right??? :o) Don't want to mislead any googly eyed young people :o). Anything truly worth having, and anything you want to be great at, simply takes work.
John is still working as a Police Officer, and has been for about 7 years now. He also is a defensive tactics instructor for the department, that just means he's really tough!!! :) He recently also became an FTO (Field Training Officer) for the department. This is where he trains new recruits who are just out of the academy, they ride with an FTO officer for their first few months on the street. Right now John is doing someone's last phase of FTO training, so he rides in the passenger seat, gets to wear his own clothes, and is not allowed to do any of the work or really help the officer (unless of emergency), he is strictly there to grade them and observe, he is basically invisible. Is that possible...John, invisible??? It's been fun for him to mix up his work like this.
I stay at home with the boys and I LOVE it, it has been such a blessing to be able to be home. I also am a worship leader at my church and I am the administrator for our worship department, and I love it! I am also a part of our women's ministry task force, and am in charge of worship for that department. Right now I am working on an AWESOME concert that we will be doing in early September. I am very happy to be doing what I am suppose to be doing, I feel like I am right where I need to be for now and that feels GREAT. I am very fulfilled in using my time to serve God and His purposes. I feel like this is just the beginning, my life is in His hands and I will serve Him with everything I am and all I have. It's exciting to be a small part of what God is doing on the earth today!
Josiah is 8, and is wonderful! He is flourishing in school and sports. He just got back from church camp recently and had a GREAT time. He loves church and has great friends there. He is growing like a weed and is the tannest kid I've ever seen! He is very athletic, a great student and makes friends easily. He does have one little flaw...he is a bit lazy...but what can I say, he's MY boy afterall!! He is an incredible big brother, and helps out SO much.
John II is a year and a half now and is hysterical, he keeps us laughing all the time. He has so much personality. He loves to dance, he even dances to commercials! He has a very sweet personality, but can occasionally throw a good toddler fit! He is very friendly, and loves people. He adores his big brother! He adds a lot of joy to our world.
That is about all I have time for right now, you can only hold off a 1 year old with crackers for so long!! :)
